We started by improving children's sleep, and our popular app has 4.9 out of 5.0 stars on the App Store. While we will continue to build out the existing offering, we are excited to broaden our help to families into new areas, in fresh ways that make pediatric expertise accessible to all.

You would join our growing team that includes Berkeley Ph.D.s in computer science and predictive analytics, user-centric designers, and experienced pediatric experts trained in evidence-based practices.


The Opportunity

We're looking for a Data Engineer who is passionate about building data pipelines to feed into life-changing products and service for families. The candidate will be expected to perform duties such as: designing and implementing data pipelines in our cloud environment, implementing effective cloud data storage solutions, implementing automation solutions, and moving data between different storage options. It is highly desirable to also have skills in MLOps. These could include model re-training, model monitoring, and model automation.

About the Role

As a Data Engineer, you’ll own a diverse set of responsibilities which may include:

  • The design of cloud-based data pipelines
  • The implementation of data pipelines
  • ETL from various data sources
  • Maintain data storage and pipeline systems
  • Work with Data Scientists and Machine learning Engineers as part of the AI and ML Team

About You

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or another quantitative field
  • Working proficiency with SQL and NoSQL Databases
  • Working proficiency with Python
  • Experience in a Cloud Environment
  • Experience using Airflow
  • Problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with NodeJS
  • Experience using Git
  • Experience with GCP
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with Firebase/Firestore
  • Experience with MLOps
